Deanna Long began her career with RuffaloCODY in 1991. She has more than 20 years of fundraising and membership services experience and has worked on more than 350 fundraising and membership programs.
Deanna earned her BA with honors from Culver-Stockton College in Missouri with a triple major in Business Administration, Fine Arts Management, and Vocal Music Performance. She earned her MBA from Lindenwood University, also in Missouri, and gained development experience with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Division of Higher Education in St. Louis.
While at RuffaloCODY, Deanna has held the positions of project manager, director of client services and director of operations. As director of operations, Deanna oversaw the operations of 12 remote calling centers with a combined staff of over 400. Because of her success in these areas, Deanna accepted a position in 2001 within the RuffaloCODY Sales & Marketing division where she continued to focus on client support and company goals. In May of 2002, she was promoted to Vice President where her responsibilities include the public broadcasting, arts and cultural, and Greek markets. Since that time, Deanna has been involved in the design and implementation of over 300 campaigns, raising over $20 million dollars for her clients.
For the past eight years, she has been responsible for the coordination of the Greek Retreat an Annual Giving which has become a respected and well-attended conference within the Greek community since its inception. As of August 2011, she also serves on the board for the North-American Interfraternity Conference Foundation (NICF).
Born and raised in Iowa, Deanna and her husband, Mark, have a son, Benjamin and a daughter, Anna. Though her free time is limited, she has enjoyed singing in the Cedar Rapids Concert Chorale, the Parlour City Dixieland Band and her church choir. She has been active in local theater, both as a performer and as chair of the Volunteer Board. She also enjoys playing the piano, reading, going to movies, traveling and entertaining.
