Vice President and Senior Consultant
Clark Gafke joined RuffaloCODY’s MASTERS Division in December 2010 as a Vice President and Senior Consultant, bringing with him more than twenty years of advancement experience. He represents MASTERS clients in the Midwestern U.S.
Clark’s first alumni phone solicitation occurred as a freshman student for the University of Missouri – Columbia. As a student caller, he raised $374,000 in alumni pledges for the Mizzou Annual Fund. His experience includes building and evaluating strategic fundraising plans, caller and phone program management, evaluating phone room managers, and cultivating major and planned gift relationships. In addition, Clark has worked with hundreds of college students each year helping to increase their performance and presentation skills in fundraising campaigns.
Before joining RuffaloCODY, Clark spent 20 years with the fundraising and consulting firm IDC, where he served clients in sales, service and program development. Clark developed caller training programs, supervised calling rooms, evaluated program performance and analyzed trends in giving. He also helped programs take advantage of online technologies and other forms of digital communication. As Vice President for Client Services and Senior Consultant, he managed the firm’s on-campus programs, and served hospitals, social service organizations, and national charities. In March 2010, IDC was acquired by Harris Connect. Clark continued with the successor firm until he joined RuffaloCODY.
Clark is a frequent speaker at CASE, AFP conferences and on many college campuses. He is a past president for the Las Vegas AFP chapter, former national delegate, and past chair of the chapter’s education committee and every-member campaign.
He is an avid supporter and volunteer for the National 4-H Council and 4-H in general. He enjoys fishing and traveling with his wife and their two daughters.
