Inquiry Qualification

There are a couple of issues inherent in the traditional methods of assessing the likelihood of an inquiry to apply and enroll. When you review “attitudinal” indicators, you are making assumptions or generalizations based upon previous cohorts: assumptions that may not hold true for a specific student:

  • A source code indicating the student initiated contact typically has a higher conversion than one related to a returned reply card. However, when evaluating the likelihood of any particular student to convert, initial interest does not mean sustained or current interest.
  • Visiting campus is associated with higher conversions. But what if that specific student didn’t like what she saw? Or visited, unbeknownst to you, unofficially?

The solution:

RuffaloCODY Qualification (RCQ)

We survey your inquiry pool via phone and online to collect real-time attitudinal data, including each student’s actual interest level in your institution and information regarding his/her college search.

With RCQ+, surveyed students are immediately placed into a custom e-communications plan that provides a series of messages based specifically upon how they answered each survey question.

On average, the 10% of an inquiry pool with the highest levels of interest in an institution make up over half of the enrollment. The one-quarter to one-third of an inquiry pool who are not interested will comprise just 5% of enrollment.

The ramifications? RCQ enables you to eliminate your outreach to uninterested students and focus effort on those with more interest. Steer your counseling staff toward the right students and enable them to build stronger relationships in moving this group through to application and enrollment.
