Sherry is a native of Iowa and a graduate of Central College in Pella, Iowa. It was during her time at Central that she began her fundraising career as a student ambassador in the development office. She returned to her alma mater in 1998 to assume the role of Director of Annual Giving.

During her tenure, she restructured the phone program which resulted in a revenue increase of 103%, an average pledge amount increase of 35%, and increased the number of donor participants by 32%. She also oversaw and implemented change in the direct mail program resulting in an increase in dollars given via direct mail by 78% while reducing the number of mailings each year.

Upon leaving Central, Sherry joined the staff at the Mercy Hospital Foundation and headed up their major gift efforts. She went on to join the Iowa State University Foundation where she was affiliated with the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. She worked closely with departments to increase their annual support as well as securing major gifts. Sherry then had the opportunity to join the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Iowa as their first professional development officer. She established a successful annual fund program, secured the first gifts to a newly created endowment, and created a planned giving program.

Sherry currently resides in Pella, Iowa and is pleased to be a member of the RuffaloCODY team. As Vice-President, Non-Profit Services, Sherry works with institutions in planning and implementing annual giving programs and leadership volunteer efforts. This includes telemarketing and direct mail efforts for parent, student, and senior class gift programs, campaign giving, donor stewardship and recognition strategies, and prospect management.
